What do April showers bring?

Happy Monday everyone. As it rains here in Vancouver during the final week of April, I can’t help but feel optimistic that this rain will bring about more colors in May. As a tribute to the fast approaching May, here are some photographs of flowers from Port Barton in December.

Portrait Session: Gastown, Vancouver

Mother and daughter session

This mother and daughter radiated in the westcoast rain. Shot in the Central Lonsdale neighborhood of North Vancouver, this session was one of my personal favorites as it hit close to home with the reminder of the strong bond a mother and daughter can have. The daughter did not need any direction during this session and she knew instinctively how to compliment her mother. With mother’s day coming up, lets not forget to show our love to our mothers. Start planning ahead and think of some creative ways to show our moms how much we appreciate having them in our lives.

Jessica and Tuesday Cats

Last weekend, I met up with Jessica, the owner of Tuesday Cats, specializing in custom jewelry. While taking a stroll along one of Vancouver’s heritage neighborhoods and delighting in high tea at The Secret Garden Tea Company, we discussed how she starting making her delicious jewelry and the idea behind the business name “Tuesday Cats”. Jessica started out with her jewelry line in 2010 and it quickly came into light with customers as far as Europe wanting to have some Tuesday Cats added on to their own collections. As for how she came up with the name for her business, it all came down to as simple as her love for cats and the day when one of the ideas for her business took spark. If you love the sweet-like-candy jewelry that you see in this gallery, feel free to email Pink Pine Photography at pinkpinephotography@gmail.com for more information on how to order from Tuesday Cats.
